Homeskolar’s planning framework spans 39 learning weeks across six half terms. It organises broad subject pathways from early primary through secondary education.

We are building towards complete, reviewed teaching coverage. The existing outlines are a planning framework, not a claim that every year, objective or subject already has finished lessons.

The pathways include English, mathematics, science, history, geography, computing, art, design and technology, music, physical education, religious education, personal development and, at the relevant stages, languages and citizenship.

Practical work, discussion, books, movement and projects belong in the learning day alongside screen-based activities. Some subject choices and qualification routes require a family’s own decisions.

Four stages support ages 5–7, 7–11, 11–14 and 14–15. A learner can use a different stage for an individual subject. Suggested years help parents review a lesson’s fit; they are not a placement test or a professional assessment.

The library contains 65 existing pilot activities and 15 additional drafts across early reading, number, English, mathematics and science. New drafts require parent review and publication before becoming available to that family.

The expanded activities include early-primary foundations, primary starting points around Years 3–4, secondary starting points around Year 7 and a small KS4 starter set. This is still a small part of the complete library we intend to build.

Each new activity includes its learning intention, explanation, example, practice and independent questions. Parents check accuracy, answer keys, readability, practical safety and suitability before family publication.

Professional educator review remains outstanding. Internal knowledge checks do not award qualifications or replace externally administered exams.

The Department for Education’s national curriculum collection is the reference point for the England-first framework. Detailed objective mapping and external review are ongoing; Homeskolar is not endorsed by the Department for Education.
